The whole of InternetNZ. All in one place.
Designing a new digital home for InternetNZ and their brand-new visual identity.
Following a rebrand and a period of strategic planning, it was time for InternetNZ to unify and simplify their online presence.
Armed with their fresh visual identity, InternetNZ had the mighty task of not only introducing their new brand to the world, but also of consolidating over 50 different digital properties and thousands of web pages into one coherent, seamless web experience.
With multiple audiences to consider - from small business owners to technical experts and government agencies - the challenge was also to create a platform that spoke to a wide range of users without losing its voice.
Achieving zero lag with a clean and clear design.
An uncluttered homepage design brings focus to InternetNZ‘s primary source of revenue, the purchase of .nz domains, and lays a smoother path to getting Kiwis online. This is paired with clear sign-posting and audience-focussed content to help users easily find what they need as they move around the site.
A refined and more comprehensible information architecture retains what’s important to users while removing content they don’t need. Opting for a menu where the headers remain visible meanwhile helps clarify what InternetNZ do as well as make content more findable - both pain-points for users.
Mindful of the varying needs of its audience, InternetNZ’s website is also fully accessible, with each page achieving at least an AA standard. Consistent audits, automated tools and accessibility testing techniques were employed by our developers to ensure it works for all New Zealanders, regardless of ability or impairment.
Accessible, streamlined, speedy and secure.
From a starting point of multiple platforms and thousands of pages, InternetNZ’s new website is a one-stop-shop geared towards getting Kiwis online.
With over 350 domain referrals from the ‘Register a .nz’ page in the six months post-launch, the new site is addressing the businesses requirements necessary for InternetNZ to continue effectively managing the .nz domain. Improved findability and accessibility of content, proven by the overall reduced time on page across the website, also highlights how users are finding it easier to get to the content they need.
What’s more, its consolidated tech stack and clear roadmap for future enhancements, ongoing iteration and content production, further means it’s primed to serve all New Zealanders well into the future.
